The Azores Sustainability & CSR Services publishes Community Index Magazine every year, the only bilingual yearbook in Romania dedicated to corporate community investments.
The 2026 edition brings together, in a premium editorial format, the results of Community Index 2025, an extensive analysis of more than 1,200 projects carried out between June 2024 and July 2025 and assessed through 43 indicators aligned with international standards, offering an overview of the growing maturity of Romania’s CSR and community investment market.
Community Index Magazine is a Romanian-English bilingual publication focused on the future and resilience of communities. It brings together market analysis, international perspectives, relevant examples from Romania, and case studies built around impact, relevance, and strategic maturity. The magazine captures a market in transition, where projects are gradually moving from standalone initiatives to more structured interventions, more firmly anchored in real needs, and increasingly attentive to impact measurement.
This yearbook includes:
- Community Index 2025: a snapshot of how companies invest in communities, based on the monitoring, documentation, and centralization of more than 1,200 projects and programs carried out in Romania;
- two rankings presented for the first time:
- Top 10 companies investing in communities in Romania, based on the number of projects and programs communicated publicly;
- Top 10 projects for Romania, a selection of landmark initiatives distinguished by score, innovation, impact, and strategic alignment;
- interviews with international experts and thought leaders such as Carol Adams, Melanie Ryan, and Jacob Hill;
- interviews with relevant leaders and professionals from Romania, such as Marco Hößl, CEO of Kaufland Romania & Republic of Moldova, Liliana Popa, Head of Communication at Hope and Homes for Children Romania, Andreea Oprea, Executive Director of the pastel Association and Dana Hogea, CSR Specialist at Samsung Romania;
- national and international case studies on projects in education, environment, health, inclusion, urban regeneration, and community resilience, such as Lidl Romania on reducing food waste and building a functional ecosystem between business, community, and consumers; FitSchool on integrating movement and emotional self-regulation into the school ecosystem; Maspex – Tedi Safety School on education for children’s safety; Groupama – Life Savers on first aid and emergency response education; and Coca-Cola HBC on supporting flood-affected communities through reconstruction and resilience.
Through this edition, Community Index Magazine aims not only to promote good practices, but also to provide a benchmark for companies seeking to better understand their contribution to communities, compare their approaches with relevant models, and build more credible programs that are better aligned with ESG objectives and global impact standards.
